Statistics Calculator

Calculate comprehensive statistics: mean, median, mode, standard deviation, quartiles, and more — all in your browser, instant results.

About the Statistics Calculator

This statistics calculator runs entirely in your browser. Paste a list of numbers separated by commas, spaces, or new lines, and the tool computes a comprehensive set of descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency, dispersion, quartiles, and outliers.

Statistics computed

  • Count, Sum, Min, Max, Range — Basic descriptive measures.
  • Mean, Median, Mode — Measures of central tendency.
  • Variance and Standard Deviation — Both population (÷n) and sample (÷(n−1)) versions.
  • Q1, Q3, IQR — Quartiles using linear interpolation.
  • Sum of squares — Sum of squared values.
  • Outliers — Values outside Q1 − 1.5·IQR or Q3 + 1.5·IQR.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool upload my data? No. All calculations happen locally in your browser.

What separators are accepted? Commas, spaces, semicolons, and new lines. Mixed separators are also fine.

Why are there two standard deviations? The population standard deviation assumes your data is the entire population; the sample version uses Bessel's correction (n−1) when your data is a sample.

How are quartiles computed? The tool uses linear interpolation between adjacent ordered values, similar to most spreadsheet software.
